BUICK ENCORE 2018, A SMALL PRACTICAL SIZE

Sales of commercial vehicles are up sharply and although it does not please many auto market analysts or environmentalists, it must be admitted that some commercial vehicles may be better suited to the market than cars. The Montreal Chevrolet Relay takes you on a closer look at the Buick Encore 2018 , a small, luxurious, fuel-efficient vehicle that’s fun to drive! When you get into the Buick Encore 2018 you realize that it fits well in the Buick SUV range. The assembly is well done and the design of the dashboard is pleasing to the eye. It is also necessary to sit down and touch the seats covered with leather of the best equipped versions. This is the kind of material that is usually found in much more expensive vehicles. The large eight-inch central screen provides access to the complete Buick infotainment system. The compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allows to adapt this screen as you like and so you can use it easily. Do not forget that Buick, through the excellent OnStar system, turns your Encore 2018 into a 4G LTE wifi access point. Your passengers will be able to use their electronic devices while driving them safely. In addition, it will be very quiet inside thanks to the Buick Quiet Tuning exclusive. This fairly advanced system reduces the noise coming from outside. You can listen to your music via Bluetooth enjoying all the subtleties without difficulty. The good thing about the Buick Encore 2018 is that, despite the large cargo space it offers, it’s easy to drive in the city, in tight spaces. Its subcompact format allows it to be very agile where others are clumsy. This small format was not obtained by neglecting the silhouette that takes the typical Buick grille associated with lines that exude luxury. Safety is not a luxury at Buick and the Encore 2018 is equipped with ten airbags as standard equipment, far more than most vehicles in this category. Optionally, you can add vehicle detection in the blind spot or other even more advanced technologies such as forward collision detection or rear cross traffic alert. Under the hood, it’s a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with stop / start technology in some versions and direct fuel injection for better fuel economy. The six-speed automatic transmission transmits power to the front wheels, but it’s also possible to order the optional all-wheel drive. This mechanism gives the Buick Encore 2018 exemplary maneuverability. It is therefore high time to visit¬† Le Relais Chevrolet¬† in Montreal for a test drive of this little gem, a nice entry-level for the world of luxury Buick SUVs!

THE CHEVROLET BLAZER IS BACK IN FORCE FOR 2019!

We can not blame Chevrolet for not following fashion. With a range of SUVs already including the Trax, Equinox and Traverse, now the American company gives a name out of the past, the Chevrolet Blazer . I’m already reading your thoughts and you have to forget about the big utility V8. Tahoe already takes care of this clientele. Instead, place the 2019 Blazer between the Equinox and the Traverse. It is therefore a vehicle that will be offered in front or full-wheel drive version. It will be necessary to wait until the beginning of 2019 to see it arrive at the Relay Chevrolet of Montreal. The newcomer has a bold style with a sturdy grille and muscular lines. The high waistline enhances the athletic look seen from all angles. As Marc Bergevin might say, “the Blazer has attitude”! The first two models to arrive on the market will be the Premier and RS, the first displaying a lot of chrome while the second will have a more sinister appearance with its huge black grille. 18-inch aluminum wheels will be standard on the less equipped models, while some will be equipped with wheels up to 21 inches in diameter. Two powertrains can occupy the space under the hood. First, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Then, a 3.6-liter V6 engine will produce 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque allowing this model to tow up to 4500 pounds with the proper equipment. Both engines benefit from direct injection and stop / start technology. A nine-speed automatic transmission can be bolted to each engine. The Traction Select system is standard on all models and allows the driver to make real-time adjustments to the driving mode. On AWD models, it allows the system to be completely disconnected from the rear axle. The cabin will seat five people in comfort. The rear seat, sliding, can be folded down to offer a load of more than 1800 liters. There has not been a third row seat yet. As an option, it will be possible to order a two-panel electric panoramic roof. The steering wheel and heated seats can be activated by the remote starter, a function that will surely be appreciated in winter. A wireless charging base and six USB ports will be available as Bluetooth connectivity, 4G LTE wireless access, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility on an eight-inch display will be standard. A range of active security features will be available as an option. Here one can think of the collision warning before and the lane tracking system. It will however wait until early 2019 to know all the features!

GMC ACADIA, AN AFFORDABLE HIGH-END SUV!

The GMC Acadia 2018 occupies the central position within the GMC range. Between the Compact Terrain and the Greater Yukon, the GMC Acadia Crossover has undergone a complete overhaul last year. It is 700 pounds lighter, smaller, but it makes efficient use of its interior space, which offers three rows of seats. It is also more economical with its new powertrains at the cutting edge of technology. That’s without counting the Acadia Denali, a very luxurious crossover unique in its segment. The Montreal Chevrolet Relay is very lucky to have this SUV in its starting lineup. What does not hurt obviously is that there is a version for all budgets. These big vehicles often have the bad reputation of being greedy in essence. This is not the case for the GMC Acadia 2018 because with its new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the front-wheel drive model can consume as little as 8.4 L / 100 km on the road. In town, we would talk about 10.7 L / 100 km, a rating improved by the stop / start function of this engine. It therefore runs less often idle in the city. The 3.6-liter V6 is more powerful with 310 horsepower and can tow up to 4000 pounds with the right towing equipment. Its 9.4L / 100km on-road consumption with the front-wheel drive model is also impressive. Both benefit from a six-speed automatic gearbox with a driving mode selector. The 2018 GMC Acadia offers a number of exciting features to enhance functionality. Thus, you can slide the center seat forward even if a child seat is installed. By the way, speaking of children, Acadia was the first GM vehicle to have an alert warning you if you forgot something on the bench. As it is often our little treasures, it is an alarm that could save lives. The third-row seat, split 50/50, folds flat. If all bench seats are folded down, a vast 2237 liters (79 cu. Ft.) Of space is available. During the 2017 redesign, GM took the opportunity to incorporate new advanced security technologies into certain versions of the GMC Acadia. This will ensure that Acadia passengers will benefit from forward collision alert with pedestrian detection, distance indicator with the vehicle ahead, a peripheral vision camera, Lane Keeping Aid ‘Blind spot monitoring and a rear cross traffic alert. Security was not left to chance. The GMC Acadia is still offering an OnStar 4G LTE wireless access point from its IntelliLink infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Offered at just $ 36,000, the 2018 GMC Acadia offers a lot with its three rows of seats. Try it now at Le Relais Chevrolet in Montreal.

A NEW GENERATION OF SIERRA 2019 FOR GMC

The current trend in sales figures shows buyers migrating to SUVs and trucks. That’s why a vehicle of the caliber of the GMC Sierra makes the crowd run during its presentation in a motor show. The new GMC Sierra 2019 , and more specifically the Denali version, offers buyers a truck that can work hard, but can also pamper its occupants. Until we can try it at Le Relais Chevrolet in Montreal, let’s see what it’s all about. The 5.3 and 6.2-liter V8 engines are back, but GMC has improved them. Both engines feature stop / start and dynamic fuel management, which means that multiple cylinders can be turned off depending on demand. Thus, on the highway, it is not impossible that only four cylinders are running to save fuel. To support these two gasoline engines, GMC adds a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine. GMC builds on the reputation and lessons learned from its four-cylinder turbodiesel already under the hood of the Canyon. The 6.2-liter engine and the 3.0-liter turbodiesel are coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The new generation of GMC Sierra 2019 brings its premiere in the category. First, the box, called CarbonPro, is made of carbon fiber. This material was developed by GMC to increase durability, efficiency and functionality while providing better scratch, scratch and corrosion resistance. It’s the most durable loading box in the segment. To help the driver keep their eyes on the road, GMC offers a 3×7-inch head-up display. The data is displayed at the base of the windshield and is fully customizable. We can also note the presence of a mirror rear view camera. It is a dual-function mirror that expands vision to overcome obstacles to view such as occupants or cargo. This system features a camera, a higher resolution display and the ability to zoom or tilt the view. This is another first in this category. The GMC MultiPro exclusive tailgate is also impressive to watch. It can, among other things, serve as a step to access the loading box, serve as an improvised desk, serve as a stop for long materials, fold to give easier access to the load or even serve as a bench for ‘sit! In addition, it opens electrically with the remote control. This truly impressive hatchback is standard on the SLT and Denali models. The GMC Sierra SLT and Denali 2019 will arrive at Le Relais Chevrolet this fall. Lovers of big trucks ready for big jobs with an interior worthy of a luxury car will not be disappointed! For safety of your car when you go outside should buy Chevrolet car covers for your car exterior protection

THE NEW CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2019 WILL BE COMING SOON

It’s always quite an event when one of the three American manufacturers presents his full size van. That’s what happened in Detroit a few weeks ago when GM unveiled its 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. Notable improvements will be made to this 2019 model. Before you go to Le Relais Chevrolet in Montreal , let’s take a closer look! When buying a full-size pickup, it is very often for the loading box. That of the 2019 model will offer the best utility volume in the category. The short box offers 63 cubic feet of space, 20% more than competing crates. There are storage bins attached to the wheel arches providing nearly 7 cu. Ft. Of lockable utility space and enough space to put the famous 4×8 plywood board on the floor. Speaking of this floor, it is molded in steel of higher strength. There are twelve fixed and nine docking hooks that are mobile for even more versatility. You can also add an optional power liftgate that can be activated by the door, by the button inside or by hand. The dimensions of the Chevrolet Silverado 2019 have also evolved. The wheelbase is longer by almost 4 inches while the overall length has increased by 1.6 inches. Despite its larger size, the Silverado lost 450 pounds over the current V8 engine and Crew Cab. All that extra weight should help lower fuel consumption. There will be six combinations of engine and gearbox, the choice for all needs. We are talking here about new 5.3 and 6.2 liter V8s with dynamic fuel management. What is it? The management system deactivates some cylinders according to the immediate needs. For example, if you drive a lot of highways without having your crate loaded, gas mileage may be particularly impressive. As another engine, there’s a brand new Duramax turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line engine. This engine and the other 6.2-liter diesel are paired with a new 10-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. They also take advantage of stop and start technology to limit fuel consumption. Eight versions are on the program for the Chevrolet Silverado 2019. The hard-working truck, the Custom, the new Custom Trail Boss, the LT, the new RST and LT Trail Boss, the LTZ and the luxurious High Country. Note that the new Trail Bosss are 2 inches higher and the Z71 off-road package with lockable rear differential and skid plates is included. It’s in the fall of 2018 that these big trucks should be in the showroom at Le Relais Chevrolet in Montreal. Lovers of beautiful big mechanics, you will not be disappointed!
